Summer is the perfect time to learn something new. At Fundacja Kraina, we've put together a special lineup of sewing courses for summer 2026 - for complete beginners, for busy people, for those who have just one free evening and for those ready to dedicate a whole month to learning properly. All courses take place in a cosy, welcoming atmosphere at our studio in Mokotów. We teach from absolute zero - no experience or equipment needed!

PROFESSIONAL SEWING COURSE FOR BEGINNERS – 48 HOURS [START: 8.06.2026]
Who is this course for?
For beginners who want to learn how to sew from scratch
For people who dream of creating their own wardrobe

For anyone looking to develop a creative hobby
For those who value individual style and high-quality craftsmanship
Course concept and goals
This sewing course is designed for adults who want to learn how to sew and gain practical skills needed to create a wide range of textile projects. Classes are held in a small group of up to 6 participants, ensuring an individual approach and close attention to each participant’s progress.
Over 48 hours of classes, participants will become familiar with professional sewing machines, learn various sewing techniques, work with different types of fabrics, and create five complete projects:
Upcycled blazer
Bag
Skirt
Trousers
Shirt
The course is flexible — instructors adjust the level and pace to the actual skills of the group.
The course is conducted in Polish, English, and Ukrainian.
Maximum group size: 6 participants.
What will we learn?
1. Sewing machine basics
Operating a sewing machine (settings, stitch types)
Cutting fabric according to patterns
Basics of hand sewing
2. Finishing techniques
Different types of seams (straight, French, overlock)
Hemming edges, inserting zippers and buttons
Edge finishing and detail work
3. Simple home and accessory projects
Sewing a simple bag (pattern of choice)
Basic garment alterations
4. Garment construction step by step
Creating a skirt (working with simple patterns)
Shirt construction with key details (collar, placket, cuffs)
Sewing elastic-waist trousers
5. Mastering key tailoring techniques
While working on each project, participants will focus on learning and refining essential skills such as:
Inserting zippers
Setting in sleeves
Finishing necklines
Working with stretch fabrics
Final outcome After completing the course, participants will:
Be able to confidently operate a sewing machine and complete basic projects
Master a variety of sewing and finishing techniques
Create five finished garments/accessories
Gain confidence working with patterns and different fabrics, enabling them to continue sewing independently
Price
The course fee is PLN 3,500 gross and includes all learning materials, such as fabrics and knits, threads, machine needles, tools, and all consumable materials.

SEWING FROM SCRATCH, 24H COURSE (17 Aug – 09 Sep 2026, 5:00 – 8:00 PM)
Course duration: 1 month
Schedule: 2 sessions per week, 3 hours each (5:00 – 8:00 PM)
Total: 8 sessions, 24 hours
Price: 1,900 PLN gross

In just one month, you'll go from complete beginner to someone who proudly wears clothes they made themselves. We'll teach you everything from zero - no stress, in a warm and supportive atmosphere, with full guidance from your instructor.
What will you learn and make?
Equipment: You'll get comfortable with the sewing machine and learn what an overlocker is used for.
Technique: You'll discover the most important stitches, seams and dressmaking tricks.
Tailoring alterations: You'll learn how to alter and perfectly fit clothes to your body no more trouser legs that are too long or waistbands that don't sit right!
Your first DIY projects = you'll sew 3 real items from scratch:
1. A stylish shopper bag
2. Comfortable trousers
3. A great-looking shirt
No experience needed - just the desire to learn. We'll take care of the rest! Your instructor will adapt the pace and level to suit the group's actual skills. Courses are available in Polish, English and Ukrainian. Maximum 6 participants per group.
Price: The course price covers all learning materials, including fabrics and knits, threads, machine needles, all tools and consumables - 1,900 PLN gross.

WEEKEND SEWING COURSE – 4 Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Only free at weekends but dreaming of learning to sew? This course was made for you! In just 4 Saturdays you'll master the basics of dressmaking, get comfortable with the sewing machine and create your very first handmade garments. We start from absolute zero - step by step, in a relaxed atmosphere, guided by professionals.
What will you learn and make?
Equipment: You'll learn how to use a sewing machine and an overlocker properly.
Techniques & stitches: You'll discover the most important seams and tricks that make sewing easier.
Tailoring alterations: You'll learn how to shorten, take in and perfectly tailor ready-made clothes to fit your body.

JEANS COAT 12 h
In this course you will create: a straight cut denim jacket with a collar and pockets. You will sew it from pieces of fabric taken from denim trousers. If you have unused jeans in your wardrobe, you can also bring them and use them.
Materials: You will work with second-hand denim material. All materials are provided by the Kraina Foundation.
For whom: The course is aimed at beginners who want to start their sewing adventure.
Date: The course consists of 4 meetings: Wednesday 16.04., Wednesday 23.04., Wednesday 30.04., Wednesday 07.05. Hours 17.00-20.00.

In this course you will create a set: a blouse with a v-neck, tied with ties, and trousers in a loose, straight cut, with an elastic waistband.

1-DAY COURSE: TRENDY BAG
Instagram's hottest bag - made by your own hands! 👜🔥 You've seen it everywhere on your feed. Now imagine pulling it out of your bag and saying: "I made it myself." This intensive one-day course is exactly what you need.
Step by step, we'll show you how to create the most talked-about accessory of the season. During the class you'll not only sew the base but also embellish it together with the group. By the end of the day you'll leave our studio with a brand-new, one-of-a-kind piece in your wardrobe and a solid dose of new skills to go with it!

ONE-DAY COURSE: SHOPPER BAG & COSMETIC POUCH
In this one-day course, you will create a practical set: a functional shopper bag and a cosmetic pouch. The cosmetic pouch will feature a zipper closure and an inner lining, while the bag will be designed as a trendy shopper tote with a flat bottom and a practical outer pocket.
Materials
You will work with a variety of second-hand fabrics.
All materials are provided by the Kraina Foundation.

In this workshop, you'll create a beautiful collar and cuffs that you can wear with a shirt, sweater, or dress. No pressure, step by step - we focus on aesthetics and attention to detail.

3-HOUR WORKSHOP: DECORATIVE COLLARS
Join us for a 3-hour workshop on sewing stylish detachable collars, the must-have accessory of the season. During the class you'll not only learn the basics of sewing but also beautifully decorate your piece and give it your own personal touch. The result? You'll leave with a finished, handmade accessory that will turn heads! Can't sew at all? No problem - this workshop is designed for complete beginners too. We'll teach you everything from scratch.

LACE SHOPPER BAG 7 H
In this course you will create a unique and eco-friendly lace / curtain bag. The bag will take the form of a fashionable and lightweight shopper - perfect for shopping or as a stylish everyday accessory.
Materials: you will work with second-hand curtains, giving them new life. All materials are provided by the Kraina Foundation.

JEANS UPCYCLING 7 H
In this course you will create something on your own from old jeans. We have prepared three suggestions for you to choose from: a handbag, a large bag - shopper or a bucket hat.
Materials: You will be working with second-hand denim fabric. In particular, we encourage you to bring your own unused jeans. However, if you can't find them in your wardrobe, don't worry, you will also find all the materials at the Kraina Foundation.
If you bring your old jeans - don't forget to wash them before the course.

DECORATIONS FOR CHILDREN'S ROOM 7 H
In this course you will create a practical decorative set for a child's or teenager's room. You will sew a colourful textile garland to liven up the interior and a decorative cushion cover with a unique pattern and texture that will become a real decoration for the bed or sofa.
Materials: you will work with a variety of second-hand fabrics, giving them a new life. All materials are provided by the Land Foundation.
For whom: The course is aimed at beginners who want to start their adventure in sewing and interior decoration.
