KRAINA
KRAINA is a space where we develop, test and implement social innovations that strengthen local communities. We focus primarily on projects integrating and supporting those in crisis – refugees, the homeless, those suffering from mental health problems – and those who do not feel safe in today's consumerist, monadic society. Projects implemented by KRAINA include running freeshops, social enterprises, organizing workshops, discussions, exhibitions, creating apps and technological solutions dedicated to local communities.
FOUNDATION
The Mission of Kraina
Kraina Foundation is an artistic and activist space in Warsaw, where we build bridges between people from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries through shared work, creativity, and dialogue. We create a model of social and civic integration that responds to contemporary migration challenges and the crisis of community.
A Vision for Social Change

At a time when life is becoming increasingly individualized and disconnected from others, Kraina Foundation offers an alternative — a space grounded in care, empathy, and shared values. In the very heart of Warsaw, we are building a vibrant local community composed of people from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries. This cultural diversity is our strength and the foundation of our work.
We believe that a sense of belonging, safety, and meaning can be found in such multicultural, integrated local communities, where differences become a source of inspiration rather than a barrier. We are guided by a logic of care that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries. We know that consciously paying attention to those around us at the local level — among people of different backgrounds and experiences — fosters greater awareness and empathy at broader levels: the city, the nation, and the global scale.
Our organization demonstrates that a sustainable model of action can emerge from grassroots initiatives and connect diverse worlds that traditionally operate separately. We do not focus on standard solutions — instead, we show that it is precisely at the intersection of art, fashion, business, and activism, carried out in a multicultural local environment, that the most innovative and effective responses to today’s social challenges are created.
An Innovative Model of Action

We combine fashion, art, and activism as tools for building social change and a new sense of community. This unique model allows us to reach diverse groups and develop multidimensional solutions to contemporary challenges.
Kraina, located at 67 Puławska Street in Warsaw, is the physical center of our activities. At the same time, we actively operate online and within project-based spaces, building a strong multicultural community and reaching a wider audience.
Our Story and Team
Kraina Foundation has been operating since October 2022, but its origins date back to the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The organization emerged from a grassroots neighborhood aid initiative — the Foundation’s founders coordinated the Mokotów Help Center at 20 Puławska Street, which supported over 20,000 refugees from Ukraine, providing assistance with an estimated value exceeding 8 mil PLN.
The outbreak of the war brought together very different worlds: art, fashion, business, journalism, and activism. This interdisciplinary energy and experience became the foundation of Kraina Foundation.
